we are trying to book a band called skillet in our area. We want to have them but due to the high charge We wanna get at least 100 people in my are to see them. My obstacle is how do I convince people to see them and to come to this venue. (it used to belong to a catholic church). We wish to scheduel alot of christian artists and alot of the younger people here are afraid of being thumped on for being a different denomination or being thumped on. and thats not what we do, we praise not demean, so how do I get people who may like the band to feel comfortable in doing so? also on another note we have alot of the "they are not a local band so we dont want to see them " psycoligy. How can I pump them up in excited to feel ready to see it.

you don't "advertise", you PROMOTE!!!!!

print up as many flyers as you can handle, givethem to as many people as will help you, plaster them up and down every street, put one in every mail box, and post it on myspace.

make sure your flyer has the band names on it, the address, the price of admission, and some decently cool graphics.

put a street team together, get people talking at the local high school(s)

the main thing is to talk to everyone you see about it.

it's hard work, but it pays off if you put into it what you want to get out of it......just like what your religion teaches you.

Hope I helped

maybe give people samples to listen to and maybe if they like it then they will go to see the concert....or try reaching people a little bit outside the area you live in to see if some people would go...i love skillet they're such a good band...i only wished they would come play where i lived.

Good luck on finding people to go
