I am thinking of buying my first home and was wondering besides the association fee, do I need to pay property tax on a condo?

As you've already gotten, the answer is yes. There are two ways you can pay it though, either once every 6 months in bulk or included in your mortgage payment every month. That's called impounded. Have you already gotten quotes for search?
