Ms Blonde Ambition is correct. You have to lure the Minotaur and get it to step on the button. You then use your new Medusa's Gaze power to freeze it. The moment you do so, you need to run to the newly-opened gate (although rolling makes you get there faster).
It is tricky and can be frustrating if you can't seem to get it right.
