I am in the same situation we have been together for 8 years now.I usually go out alone one night a week,as does he,and we wait up for each other, sometimes wearing something exciting for him to come home to,or he'll sometimes be waiting in the tub for me to join him. Also we have one night a week that we get a sitter and just get to go out and be "us",sometime to a bar w/ friends,a movie/dinner,and every now and then we get a room for a few hours. As far as sex and our connection its all still as strong as the day we met!!

How did the indians do it when they lived in confined spaces, huts, teepees etc... with the rest of the family... it's a mental thing woman get hung up on... oh we can't.. the kids are in the house.. guys don't care and kids learn to just... stay away for a bit and the threat of duct taping them too the kitchen chairs (joking) might help the insanity of trying to find 5 minutes of quiet time together...
or get a baby sitter.. object of course is to just have a minute together etc.. alone.. no pawing hands and mommy this or that... guys are very flexible on this.. anything goes at any time... you sound like you need some quiet time, a hotel room, a remote and a pop with a hot bath...

Have a date night each week
Put the kids to bed and then cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie or eat dinner at the dining table...
Just make sure you both have some 'together' time

If you have interest ad satisfaction to each other you will find the way to keep it alive and make it romantic. try to send one night a week your kids to in laws or friends place. If you donot have in laws then may be trust worthy friends can do swaping every fortnight and make some kind of arrangement. If not hire a nanny and you two goto hotel once a month and have romantic dinner, then bath or shower together and then curl up together watching kind of movie you like and then....

Get sitters often enuf that you can have a date nite with your partner at least once a month. It's very important to reconnect once in a while, go have some fun alone & without the kids around.

won't be quite some romance good now, yet have been in love and married to him for 21 years. i'm an enterprise believer that the desirable is yet to come again! He has scientific matters and that i could nonetheless in no way go away him.

Put the kids to bed and take a bath or shower together.
Get a trustworthy relative to take care of them for a night so you can go to a bed and breakfast, or resort where you can have free time to be lazy/active and be yourselves without interruption.
Have a date night for a few hours every now and then, and stick to it.

There shouldn't be any romance between you and those kids, even after five years. Seek help.
Although a candle lit dinner at Chucky Cheese they might enjoy.

five years that is great.
go on a date/vacation, but make sure that you discuss it with your partner. and that the kids are well taken care off so that you don't worry about them when you are out.
- good luck
