i would like to commend you dogged determination and fierce loyalty. for you hopefully it wont be the hand your dealt but the way you play it.i dont know what state your in but the information i found in the state i live: first you must find a proxy, then whoever is going to perform the ceremony, it all takes place via telephone , your boy friend only needs to go the chaplain who will arrange everything else he will be on the phone through out the ceremony they say love conquers all you are living proof best wishes

Yes, it is possible to be married while in prison, especially if there is already a family. Some prisons allow conjugal visits: (spouse or spouse and children) but only a few prisons have them. There is usually a very long wait also. Your "future husband" will need to talk with a chaplain in the prison to see what is possible where he is being incarcerated. God bless!

First you need to educate yourself so any possible child will have one literate parent on the streets, since one will be locked up. Otherwise, you doom another person coming into the world to repeat the steps of the stumbling parents due to lack of education for just a starter. Why do you want to stay with him when he didn't care that he did things which separated the two of you? And now you want to make a child lose one parent and grow up like that's the normal way. Your "old man" didn't think enough of you to get married before, so maybe you should wonder why he will now.

I personally would wait until he gets out. Curious how long he's going away, but, I sure wouldn't want to be in that situation. You can be loyal to him unmarried, but, you don't know how this will affect you over time, and you may by in the natural order meet someone else in the meantime, and you have a right to pursue happiness with an "available" partner if this happens.
Until then, I'd set it as a "Goal". If he is not going to be in very long, ........then wait. It's worth waiting for. If he has a longer sentence, definately don't marry him because a lot can happen in your world and his that could change a lot of things.
It would be good to act prudently right now, and if he truly loved you and your child with him, do you think he would honestly have allowed himself to get in trouble if you were of top priority and more important than his desire to cause him to be taken out of your life and to fend for yourself.
You need to think with some real sobering perspective thinking, and not with your emotions.
Do what is best for you and your child. The man you want to marry is going to be property of the D.O.C., and he definately will not be the same person when he gets out.

Do you know what prison he is getting sent to? You can find out if you ask the prison . I belive some prison do let you get married and have alone time. Or get married before he goes and try to have a baby before he goes in.

Some prisons permit marriage and private time but not many. I think it depends on the level of the crime and the history. How is this guy going to be a dad to these kids? Who will be supporting them financially? You should really think this thru

As far as I know most prisons will allow you to get married. But conjugal visits are a tricky subject. I know arizona doesn't allow them. I think in california you have to have been married before incarceration to get them. How long is he going away?
