The looks is the first thing you see whether you're a guy or girl. You don't see their intelligence first. Not if it's in person I mean.
So how many guys have you dated that you thought were ugly?

Because the insecure ones are shallow, and intelligence is something they feel threatened by. So they think well, if I have this good-looking chick on my arm (even though she may be dumber than a box of rocks) all the other guys will think I'm either fantastic in bed, or 2) have mega bucks (because why else would she be with me?) or 3) Sadly, to some guys, that's all that matters until they grow up and realize beauty doesn't last - we all grow old- and who wil be there for you Mr. Potbelly/beerbelly, balding and grey, fixing you dinner every night? Real beauty is on the inside, and never fades. Sadly, some jerks never realize that until it's too late, then cry the blues wondering why they're all alone and why all the good women are taken.

Not all guys go for the looks in girls believe it or not a lot of guys are attracted to girls who are friendly and have a good sense of humor.I think in life those two things go alot further then good looks.Did you ever notice how you will think a guy or girl is very attractive and then you get to know them and because of their personality you no longer find them attractive?Have you ever noticed someone who you would never usually look twice at and then because their personality you find them very attractive?A persons looks only takes them so far,its personality,kindness and a great sense of humor that really make or break someones looks.

Because physical attraction is the first impression but it doesn't make a relationship work. They look for other things afterwards.

Its somewhat an egotistical satisfaction for most guys if their girl is beautiful,kinda high status thing.

well, its the same vice versa.
And guys do want nice looks, but thats not everything.

It's a genetic proclivity breed into us eons ago. A beautiful woman increase the probability that our offspring will also be beautiful, thus when we sacrifice our oldest daughter to the fire god he will be appeased.
