I think your best bet is to make an appointment with a veterinarian so you can get a proper diagnosis and treatment. It could be anything from a pimple to an infection to cancer, but a vet should diagnose it. I wouldn't use over-the-counter antibiotics on a dog's lip without a vet's approval because those creams can be toxic if swallowed.

In the meantime, if you are giving your dog food and/or water out of plastic bowls, you should switch to ceramic or stainless steel bowls instead and clean them once a day. Plastic harbors bacterias really well, and I have heard of many dogs getting infections/pimples in their mouth areas from using plastic bowls.

Good luck.

Bad news man but I hope not. How old is it? Medicate it w/ some triple antibiotic but if it gets ANY larger or worse than it is now, take it the vet. My dog had a cancer that started the exact same way and we had to put it down.

Maybe he hurt himself, something like that happened to my dog once but it was more like a sore and it was due to him chewing on a football...I suggest you monitor him for the next few days with what he plays with and see what could be causing it or caused it and if you think its really uncomfortable for him and he needs immediate attention then take him to the doctor. Or maybe save the bill and call them for their advice.
