This is a more specific question than some of my previous questions, and I may be more likely to get a straight answer. This would include, say, gas for Airforce 1, and the wages for the people flying it and working on it, but also helecopter maintenance and fuel, etc. Bonus if you can find documents or links supporting your answer.

The answer to this question is very likely not available no matter how hard one looks. Somewhere someone has a number and while you might be able to find this number it won't be the number you're looking for because they won't be totalling costs up to your specific requirement - they'll instead be totalling them up for some internal accounting need that will in all likelihood seem pretty obscure, arbitrary, and opaque to you (and to me!).

Whatever the true number is, it is likely to look really large to you and me. In the scheme of things, however, it's probably rather tiny. After all, the federal budget is now pushing three trillion dollars.

with Bush taking more vacations than many Presidents combined, it must be huge. As far as Cheney goes, we don't know, he won't release the information.
