I lost 50 pounds over a year.

What I did was cut out excess food (like no two hamburgers when you don't really need it) and no soda, and the like. Well, maybe I have soda every week or so, but I generally prefer juice now.

I think the key was that I got up each morning I could (and at least two days a week; Saturdays and Sundays) and run for an hour or so at the local school (I imagine it can also be done at a park). With headphones and your favorite music on, time flies by!

Try cutting portion sizes. The human body does not realize the stomach is full as fast as some think. When eating try to eat half and set the other aside. Wait 20 minutes. If after the twenty minutes you find you are still hungry eat half of what is left and continue the process.

After doing this for a couple of weeks you will come to realize you don't seem as hungry as often. The stomach is made of a pretty elastic material. If you eat large portion sizes your stomach will try to accommodate the larger intake. However, over time of reducing intake your stomach will virtually shrink to a degree, causing less room needing to fill thus weight loss.

Also try eating yogurt. Most yogurts have a bacterial ingredient that aids in digestion. The better your digestive system works the more effective your body's fat intake system works also.

It will also help to stop eating meals at 5:00 pm as it can take more than four hours for your body to digest food. When you go to bed, your body spends its time trying to digest the food rather than getting you into deep sleep, (the only kind where your body replenishes its energy), the more energy the more ease you will have for working out.

Also drink lots of water!

I hope this helps!

That seems like a tough schedule to work with. Sometimes a lifestyle change is in order to make drastic changes (although much progress can probably be achieved on your schedule).

Eat small snacks, instead of large meals. Cut down on the amount of meat you are eating (don't stop eating it, but you don't need a 20 oz steak or a 3/4 lb hamburger).

Take healthy snacks with you for the car, and a good jug of water.

If you have a break during the day, take a walk outside (if possible) and enjoy what is around you, think positive, because it is going to be tough.

Work out on the weekends if possible. Go for a bike ride with your wife (or a friend), take a walk with your pet.

I would think that you have to be ready to make a change, don't just say you are going to go on a diet in a month, take action and do it now. Your health is one of the most important investments you have.

Drink water, a lot. I drink 4-5 bottles of water ATLEAST a day (20 oz), I play a sport and on game days I will drink 1.5 liters (atleast) before my event.

If you are working out, stay hydrated before, during, and after and take care of your body (stretch good).

I wish you the best of luck! Congratulations on taking the first step to a healthier lifestyle.

To lose weight effectively, you should both be doing exercsing and dieting. But in your case, not having time to exercise, start with goin on a diet gradually lessening white rice and shifting to brown rice. after two weeks, instead of eating rice, eat violet camote or wheat bread. It will help a lot if you go on a low-carb diet. Avoid sweets especially salty food following plenty of water, because this will cause sodium and water retention which will make your belly bigger. Drink plenty of water and avoid salty foods. =)

You have a killing schedule, may God bless you. Anyhow, avoid junk food, drink green tea without sugar atleast 4-5cups daily. on the way to office or on the way back home try to workout or jog for 30-35 minutes, adjust your schedule accordingly.
