If you don't like neither game, then why waste your money buying the game? Use the money to buy a game that you like.

But if you insist on wasting your money, go with D2 since you'll only be wasting 20 bucks for the game instead of 20 bucks plus 15 bucks for every month that you want to play WoW.

People who say that D2 isn't addicting is wrong if you play on closed battle.net. There are so many things to collect and so many different character builds.

D2 hands down. D2 costs $20 and free online play, and WoW is $49 for the game plus onine subscription per month. As for fun, WoW is a little bit complicated, and D2 is slash and kill monsters which is addicting. Your choice.

If by D2, you mean Diablo 2 then get that because it's free to play online, and you don't have to commit to playing it all the time like most mmorpgs. You also can play offline or in private games with your friends. I never really liked WoW that much, anyways.

If you enjoy the Diablo series then feel free to check out Titan Quest series. It's a similar game but the modern version. Blizzard abandoned Diablo, Titan Quest is the next series following similar gameplay.

I suggest LOTRO as an alternative for WoW. Lord of the Rings Online is an mmorpg set in the world of Middle Earth following Tolkien's work as closely as possible to create a vivid world. Check it out: http://www.lotro.com
