most list of great anime fights ive seen online are just plain stupid, so please if you think any fight from:pokemon,digimon,yugio,inuyasha,ranma, ect. have a greatest fight please just shoot yourself now and dont bother posting it.
i mean that epic anime battle between 2 fighters, that sword dodging, bone breaking punches and kicks, explosions of power with non stop relentless attack, the fight were everythings on the line and both fighters are so determined to win that nothing will stop them, and you can see the fury in there expression. those kind of fights, my favrites(not in any particular order,cept first one) are:
1.Naruto V. Sasuke-Naruto
Lee V. Garra-Naruto
Yusuke V. Yomi, Togoro, Sensui, Suzaku-Yuyu Hakusho
Hiei V. Makuro,Bui,Yusuke,- Yuyu Hakusho
Kenshin V. Saito- Rurouni Kenshin
Ichigo V. Kenpachi, Byakuya, Renji,-Bleach
Spike V. Vicious-Cowboy Bebop
Mugen V. Shiori,Crazy guys at end
Jin V. Mugen, Hand of god
Gon V. Hisoka-HunterxHunter

There are 3 that stand out in my mind:
1) Dragonball Z: Earth's Heroes (Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Vegetta and others) versus Cell. Intense battle that seems to be over several times, but it's not till Gohan finally overpowers Cells blast and completely destroys him that it ends.
2) Cowboy Bebop: Spike VS Vicious. This battle covers several episodes, culminating in Spike's assault on the crime syndicate and the final showdown. Phenomenal.
3) Street Fighter 2 Animated Movie: Chun Li VS Vega. Most would think of the final battle with Ken and Ryu VS Bison, but when it comes to stop at nothing, knock down drag out fighting, nothing in the movie tops this fight.

Now, I'm a huge anime fan. I have seen many anime series. While I love many, such as InuYasha or Akira, I would have to say that the greatest fights (or at least my favorites) are those important ones in Bleach. There are many fights in it, many desperate, everything-on-the-line fights, and it is wonderful. Not just fights with Ichigo, but many of the other fights as well. I would say Bleach overall is VERY well made, and the fight scenes are most defenitely no exception.
I pity those people who would still say "Ooh! That one fight with InuYasha and..." or "Pokemon is the coooolest!". These people have no clue what good is. Yes, some fights are good, but they are just that, fights. It isn't that often that you discover an anime series that has more than fights, but BATTLES. True contests of power, not just performed marvelously, but also drawn well. I would say Bleach is one of these marvels, and I would reinforce that if someone were ready to attack me.

Gaara vs Kimimaro (this is just my personal fave fight though)
Also, let's not forget the classic battle...

the final battle before the first half of the manga ended.
