They can sugest a gimmick or give story ideas to creative, but creative doesn't have to go along with it. The ultimate say in the matter goes to Vince McMahon though. I do believe that some of the big stars have certain clauses in their contract to give them more of a say in it.

In the case of the Million Dollar Man, That was Vinces Idea but DiBiase really had to bring it to life. Then There are guys like Hacksaw Jim Duggan who are not using a gimmick, they are just being themselves. Mostly it is a team effort between the Creative team and the wrestler.

a mix stability of both. The wrestler can opt for the gimmick he/she needs to apply if that is going to earnings his/her occupation that could provide him/her attributes, or an excellent characteristic mid-way or starting up of his/her occupation. Like to illustrate, The Rock. He makes use of his own gimmick because it resembles his personality. Now the corporation can in advantageous condition the wrestler in a gimmick classification. a suitable celebration is John Cena. the corporation makes use of his gimmick, because of the PG era. Cena can use any variety of gimmick he needs, besides the undeniable fact that the corporation has to approve of it.

Well he was already self proclaimed as the Miz,so they went w/ it thinking his fan base would carry him to become somewhat of a star.I'm sure they get some input, but not much, what Vince says goes so they have to go along w/ the stupid sh!t or they are jobless! The big money makers get to input on story lines and so forth b/c they are needed to keep the company where its at,but in the end Mr.McMahon always gets the last word!!

Some wrestlers come up with their own persona. Stone Cold did, the Rock did and so on. Here lately though I think most of the new blood are just being told who to be and it always shows through if they don't agree with the direction of their character. Just take Carlito as an example. Its been widely publicized that he does not like his puppy love angle with Torrie and does not like being a face and it has showed in his performance as of late.

What do you mean suggest? Writers?? Gimmicks??? Wrestling is a spontaneous sport and many moves result from knowing your opponents moves and taking advantage of a situation in a split seconds notice, preparation in keeping ones body in top form. Wrestling is a serious sport and doesn't need your childish allegations of gimmicks and writers.

They can put in suggestions to the writers, but ultimately it's the creative team that decides their gimmicks.

It really depends on things like mic skills. Guys with better mic skills tend to have more control over their characters as they drive their character with their words. Mr Kennedy is largely the work of Ken whilst Umaga and Khali are heavily driven by creative.
