I have to go with Boston to win the East. The Yankees had a firesale, while Boston got healthy and moved Papelbon to the rotation while signing Matsuzaka.
Other than Boston and New York, I'd go with Toronto to finish highest. Baltimore and Tampa Bay just are too far from contention to compete with the Blue Jays, who are probably capable of competing with the big 2 in the East.

You have to go with the Jays as the front runner here. If they have a great season with minimal injuries they could win the East. But they will need to de-crown the Yanks. They are a bit older this year and pitching is a question mark, but that lineup is going to do a lot of damage to opposing pitching staffs

haha not named boston or NY, then Toronto. I think this is going to be a closer race then people think. If the Blue Jay pitchers stay healthy, they got a real shot at this.

are you serious? why ask the question then? that's who it's coming down to, yet again. As much as I like what the Rays are doing(Kazmir), as long as they are in the AL East, no chance. Too much money is being spent by the top 3 to compete.
