If you have the time, patience and environment, you can grow any vegetable or fruit any where. There are all kinds of miniature citrus trees available and they do really well if you follow directions. A friend of mine has a tomato plant growing in his picture window and has had the same one for more than 8 years now. He just makes sure it has enough sunlight, water, soil and fertilizer and it just keeps on producing. (He does trim it back once in a while). Have fun and good luck.

Garlic! You can actually grow garlic in an old margarine or sour cream container.
Just cut some diamond patterns in the lids and slip the garlic into the diamonds, add water to the base & put on the lid.
You can cut the tops & use them for any garlic you need in recipes and they'll regrow in no time at all.
Change the water at least ever 3 days and youc an trim the roots if they get too full, or just plant them outside or in the dirt then.
Another good one is ginger, just sitck a piece in a pot & it will produce a beautiful plant similar to bamboo and the leaves smell just like fresh ginger {you can pinch some if you need a "fix" lol smells great} anyway, they will grow great and give you fresh ginger as well.
Green onions, when you bring some home from the store put in a glass of water in fridge til you need them. They will grow roots while in the fridge & you can stick in a pot & put in a window to grow them. {cut tops to use & leave the roots and they will grow forever}

Yeah, they can. Wal-Mart has those little 'greenhouse' variety issues that are available black plastic boxes and characteristic little pellets in them, which have seeds already planted interior them. in case you position it up and placed it by technique of a window, they boost great quick. i'm no longer particular in case you'll have truly as a lot success even as the flora attain adulthood yet who's conscious, you may. G'luck.
