What characterizes American people the most?

So what is it that you think, characterize American people? Is it that they respect individuality, very patriotic... I'd love it if you'd tell me your opinion.

Being self centered and ignorant. Americans in general seem to think they know everything and are above everyone else. It's really sad when you can say that about your own country....oh well since it's the truth.

There is the America that is based off of being patriotic...Land of the free...etc

Then there is the America that offends a lot of people...that's the one where you idolize skinny celebs, cram down junk food and still try to be skinny.

There are many out there who don't like America. As with every country, the nation as a whole is not a good representation of any particular member, and vice versa.

As a American, our defining trait is CLEARLY Ignorance.

Not only are we ignorant we are blatantly PROUD of being ignorant.

How many people do you know think america is a great country and have never spent more then 2 weeks outside of america?
