There is nothing you can do about freckles as long as you expose your skin to the sun or the tanning beds short of applying sun block. And that would defeat the purpose of the tan right?
You're just noticing them because tanning happens suddenly. If you had exposed yourself more gradually, you wouldn't notice the freckles so much.
Don't worry though, it's just you and I'm sure you look cute in your new freckles:)

You need to use a really strong sunscreen to prevent freckles, but that would obviously defeat the purpose of tanning. Freckles are actually your skin's melanin coming to the surface. Likely your skin is more on the fair side (like mine), which means that you don't really have any melanin. Melanin is the pigment that comes to the surface that gives you the tanned look, and when your body is lacking melanin or melanin isn't produced efficiently/in abundance, you end up with freckles from UV exposure and you're more prone to burns. The only other way to prevent freckles is to avoid sun exposure. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm sure you'll look beautiful for prom anyway. Some guys even think freckles are cute! :-)

I tan in a tanning bed with a facial tanner. I don't get more freckles. The only other thing you can do is either tunr that part off or ask the owner what would be the best to put on. I would guess that sunscreen would work, but I am not a genious. I would just ask so you can do it the safest way. I know I enjoy tanning in the tanning bed.

Use a high SPF (15+), freckles are your skin's normal reaction to sun.
Honestly, the only safe tan is fake tan. Experiment with them, some are natural looking.

YOu freckle when you tan. It's a fact of life. There's home remedies (like lemon juice, etc.), but nothing that really works too well. Relax, freckles are adorable. Some guys find it a definate turn on. The rest at least think it's cute. (I have dimples, I've learned to love what makes me different)

a tan is when you increase the melanin. you have freckles or deposits of melanin instead of it being spread evenly. there is nothing you can do, besides fake tan, that would darken your skin evenly. that's just how you are.
