Not comfortably. You're going to be thisclose and probably won't be able to move all night. My boyfriend and I currently sleep on a full size mattress (he's about 180 pounds, I'm 140), and we are DYING for the day we can move up to the queen size. The full size is okay for just laying there, but to roll over in the middle of the night we have to essentially wake up to move ourselves or knock the other person off the bed. It just doesn't work, and considering how long you'll likely have the mattress, I say just go for the queen size right off the bat and be comfortable. Consider it an investment in good sleep!

A "full mattress"? Depends what you mean. Do you mean what is advertised as a 'Queen Size" or "King Size" double-bed mattress? If so, yes, depending on the couple, and their sleep habits, they can be comfortable in one of those larger mattresses designed to sleep two . You did not mention length. If you are both of average height, these are fine; if taller than average, maybe you should check around and see at a couple of mattress stores. (Yes, the owners do let you lie down on their sample mattresses ! )

Yes! I have shared a single sized mattress with someone and it was comfortable...and we were both heavier than 160 pounds.

Yes they can!
My husband an I have a full size mattress and we have no problem. We both have plenty of room, he is close to 200 lbs and I am a bit less than 150 lbs. He's on the short side, I'm on the tall side.
We even have enough room for our 75 lb. black lab to nap with us on Sundays!

I think so, I mean as long as you don't mind being close to them, me (140) and my fiance(190) are about to move in with a full.. A full is not much smaller than a queen but you may be good just getting a queen mattress pad on a full, that's what we did, it's GREAT!

Hi...I vote NO...by experience. One, my feet hung off the end of the bed if i moved down off my pillow and two, I enjoy sleeping with one leg pulled up and out to the side. So, does a full size bed work for my husband and I?...Nope.....gotta go a bit larger....I say queen, for the newly married and king, for the not so newlyweds.......Good Question, btw!

Happy sleeping.......zzzzzzzzzzzz

When I was young and romantic I had no problem even with a twin bed!

Now, I need a king. It's like "gimme my space"!

I did it for a while with my girlfriend in college, so sure if you're young and in love and don't mind. But now I have trouble sharing my queen size. :)
