Nail polish remover-helper? Facial wash/toner applicator? Cut it half and make ear plugs? No wait, wrap it completely with scotch tape, and make it a cat toy!!!

Keeps the pills from getting stale and from breaking in the bottle when moved around. Also you can use it when you get an ear infection and need to keep the meds in your ears. there is a plus to it. eye makeup remover. all sorts of things.

Originally it's used to keep the aspirin in tact, before we buy it. I sometimes put it in a bag and use it for other things I want to keep in tact.....

I have often wondered the same and here is my conclusion.... they must put it in there to keep the pills from breaking during shipment.
