Yes I am ashamed. Don't remember betraying anybody but anything is possible. I didn't do anything so I didn't need to fix it. I always knew that the truth would come out, I just didn't know when or how.

I don't know how I can go on living with this shame, especially when I don't know what I am ashamed of. If I promise not to do it again can I be forgiven?

Please?

You can't embarrass the shameless. Betrayal is part and parcel to deceit. Deceit is where it's at for the truly wicked. There are not enough people to deceive. The foolish always believe they fixed it, and got away with it., The wholesome, wonderful people of the world, the vanilla wonderfuls of this life, just deserve to get it , right up the , well, we're better off that they found each other.Wholesome deceit.

i don't think people who betray feel shame, they feel they are right, and justified. they come up with many defense mechanisms to move the blame onto the betrayed, and are able to walk away without any shame or pain. because its not them being hurt, its the one that they betrayed who is feeling the shame and hurt.
