You don't say where you are sore, but there are certain places you are more sore than others. With my first I wasn't really that sore, but my second I was sore all over.
Your body goes through a lot when you have a baby. It takes awhile to get back to normal. That's why they used to say you shouldn't have sex for 6 weeks afterwards.
Give it time, you should feel better.

yea it is very normal to be sore and hurt all over after having a baby, especially if you had a natural birth your body will ache all over from pushing so hard. my arms killed me after my first child from pushing so hard i could barely move them to even hold her. to hurt down there yeah especially if you tore or the doctor had to cut and with both you probably got stitches from so expect it to last for a few days. the first bowl movement is the worst because your afraid of pushing to hard and tearing again, take stool softeners not laxatives for that. to hurt on the inside of the belly yeah that too hurts cause everything this is moving back in place after being rearranged and cramped up for 9 months. Advil or Tylenol should help some if it keeps it up you may want to call the doctor. Congratulation on the new baby may the goo Lord bless your home with many happy days and restful nights in the future. Hope i was of some help

yes, depending on the length of labor and how big the child you can be very sore, I was sore for three weeks with my first but my second a boy was huge for my hips and gave me a hairline crack on my hips it took 3 months to fully heal until then I could not lay on my side or roll over in bed with out being in extreme pain, if the pain continues for over a month still visit a dr. since the pain can come from several different reasons and some may need medical attention.
Ice for the first week does help.

Of course...just think of what your body has gone through! If you had a c-section, expect to be sore for about 4-6 weeks...I delivered vaginally and I'd say I was pretty sore (hard to sit down and go to the bathroom) for about a week, then each day gradually got better and at about 2 weeks, you'll be feeling pretty good. Remember to rinse every time after going to the bathroom and take lots of warm hot baths...it will help you heal quicker (at least it helped me a lot!)
Congratulations and good luck!

YES! you just moved all your bones and muscles around to give birth that will leave a residual ache. I had 3 kids and everyone of them showed me a new muscle group that could hurt. it will pass though. Enjoy your new baby and rest when baby rests you will feel better faster. Put of all but essential chores and take it easy you'll be up and felling better if you get some rest.

Yeah! It takes six weeks to heal completely! If you had stitches or anything, that's a factor too. I had cramps really bad after whenever I breastfed, as the uterus was contracting. Take Advil for the pain, and manage the pain, don't fight it. Hang in there, mommy!

Sadly, yes it is. It only isn't if the pain does not lessen after about 10 days or if there are signs of infection. Take it easy as much as you can, drink lots of fluids.

yes. if you tore at all yes it is. and you are bleeding still and probably still having minor contractions to get all the fluids and what not out. if it becomes a severe sharp pain, go to the doctors. but a mild constant pain is normal. same with cramping.
