How do you get it?
I don't have it........ :(
Is it somethin like you have to get a particular amt of pts per day to be top contributor or somethin?

The more you answer in a particular category, and the more Best Answers you get (not the percentage) the more likely you are to get a "top contributor" badge next to your name, up to 3 categories. Levels, and points have nothing to do with it. I have it for answering in Yahoo 360 and Yahoo Answers categories, neither of which am I on the leaderboard, but I have been answering alot of questions in these categories recently. I do lead the category DIY and I do not have "top contributor" for that category, but I haven't answered much in that one for a while.

I'm coming here after a long time. I don't understand much of it. I feel its for the people who answer most of the questions here. Or those who crossed Level 5 by answering the questions in a particular section. One good thing about this new change is that, one can't star his own question!

I dont get it.. I have it too.. I dont know much about footie either compared to some of the users here.. Its supposedly someone knowledgable in the topic as seen by their questions and answers. I guess its monitored by the same dorks who monitor the questions and answers and see your stuff.. I dont know. But haha.. or maybe it just doesnt give TOP Contributor to Chelsea Fans since Kasper doesnt have one either.

They look at each category, but I haven't been able to find out what the criteria are.
They might be keeping it secret so people can't cheat for it.
It can change over time, and you can be TC in up to 3 categories.

I don't really know... I just noticed it on my profile today. I think you have to get a bunch of top answers in a certain category, but I'm not sure.

It's on their blog Chels. I don't know how they decide the criteria, I have not read it but so far some of the users I think are "top" contributors have not been recognized and frankly I think that sux!!

I think it's because number of Q and answers and best answers...in certain section.

I think it means they have a lot of best Answers. Or maybe it has to do with the percentage of answers. Something to contemplate...

I have no idea why they gave it too me, I guess for number of Q and A, perhaps best answer factors in it.
