its a 2002 yamaha yzf r6 sportbike and i have the alen wrench that fits the handlebar end...but i just cant get it to turn...i even turned it the opposite way to see if it was a reverse thread...and i also used some wd 40 on it to see if it was just stuck...but its more than just stuck...please help me!

hmmn, if it's anything like my R1 it should just come off. Heck, take the screw off and go fm there. sounds like it's slippin somewhere.but no, it is screwed to the inside of the bar accourding to Clymer.Take off the bar.

The bolts have locktit on the threads. They will need power tools to remove them. Some repairs can only be performed by a qualified mechanic. There's no shame in admitting defeat. Walk into a bike shop and ask how much money it'll cost to loosen them.

rubber strap wrench, turn counter clockwise
