It's more than plausible. I knew a woman who was flown out of a remote area to hospital to have a rapidly growing stomach tumour removed... only to discover that in fact she had NOT entered menopause 7 months earlier, but was pregnant. She was a normal size and had no idea.
When you're heavy, you feel generally kind of unwell anyway, so an extra 5 or 8 lbs isn't going to make too much of a difference... and if you're already depressed, you might not notice a "sudden" tendency to burst into tears for no apparent reason.

Of course it's very possible and can happen to a woman at any size. Especially common if a woman has PCOS or irregular periods. There have even been situations where a woman has what appears to be a period every month but ends up that she is pregnant. Being as how she didn't know I would be more concerned for the baby's health seeing as how she didn't have any prenatal care.

I believe it because a friend of mine (she is NOT 400 lbs) complained of a backache, put Icy hot on it and it got so severe she went to the hospital and had a baby she did not know about so see it can happen

That can happen to anyone. It happened to my friends sister....And that is not a lie. She's definitely not obese either. She just didn't gain much weight while pregnant, and still spotted throughout pregnancy. She went to the hospital complaining of stomach pains and popped out a baby. It can happen and she and her very healthy baby are living proof!

I saw on the discovery channel about a woman (she was not 400lbs) that went to the emergency room because she was having pains. Turned out she was having a baby. She had got the depo shot and just thought that was why she wasn't having her period.

people who are that overweight have a hard time telling when they are pregnant. it doesn't show because of all the fat they already have there.
i have an embarrassing story. one of my friends that i hadn't seen in a while was pregnant. i didn't know how far along she was, i just heard that she was pregnant. when i seen her, i asked her when she was due, and she said any day now. i couldn't even tell that she was pregnant because she was already a big girl. i felt dumb that i didn't know that she was that far along.

Supposedly that happens to girls alot smaller than that! I guess if you can't tell the signs of pregnancy, and the baby never shows...
