when i turn it on it freezes when the windows xp screen comes up. the only thing that i can do is un plug it and try again. the second time it usually works and nothing seems to be the problem. i have ran a scan with mcafee and nothing seems to be coming up in the scan. i dont know what the problem is and i have delelted all the files that i dont use or need. i have also have my comp in safe mode. is there any ways i could possibly fix this or find out whats wrong?

It could be a software bug such as spyware etc, or more likely hardware. If you're doing normal housekeeping things like scanning for viruses, adware, and spyware, defragging, etc, it's more likely hardware. Sounds like a heat related problem. you could have one or more fans failing, or a hard drive about to fail.
Better back up all your data if you havn't done this lately, or you soon could be very sorry! Have a techie friend help you pop the hood and check things out, sometimes two heads are better than one.

have you deleted the cookies and temporary internet file ( offline content included) this is in internet options in the control panel
this will freeze your computer up also check for spyware

not really sure, i would have done exactly what you would have. does it do it when you restart the computer? j/w.
