And people think it odd that I don't date or go out much. I think my time is better spent at home with my 3 year old, shaping him and guiding him.
He WILL know better, as did I.

Everyone thinks the generation after them is bad- either they really are getting progressively worse, or everyone reaches an age where they decide they don't like young people anymore.

Personally, I feel the same way you do, because youth culture is so... awful. The worst part being that 90% of media is aimed toward them, so the older I get, the fewer celebrities I recognize. I just try and tell myself that maybe the generation before me thought the same thing about my generation. Maybe Madonna was Paris Hilton and I just don't remember. Maybe Farah Fawcett was Madonna but no one remembers.

We aren't all bad. And I personally do not like Paris Hilton or any of those celeberites. I find it sad that so many people looked at photoshopped pictures in magazines to determine how they should look. I hate it. It's dumb.

I have 3 kids in their early 20's. they were great teenagers. I required a lot from them and they measured up. The majority of their friends did too. ( I have an insurance agent, a high school English teacher. and a college sophomore for kids.) You can't give kids anything they want and then expect them to want to work for anything once they're adults. We also had a lot of fun family time.

We aren't all bad but I honestly think each generation gets worse. And I would say I feel bad for parents, but I definitely think how parents raise their kids has a big hand in who their kids look up to, and what type of values they have and such.
