St. Patrick's Day is on March 17th. I believe that it falls on a Saturday this year.

And if you go to the parade and the marchers dressed in green want to kiss you, be respectful and kiss them, for some of them are really leprechauns. So don't be rude; kiss them (a light peck on the cheek will do), even if they're old and ugly and smell like they've been drinking. It's good luck. After you kiss them they may give you a flower; keep it, it's good luck also.
At some parades they throw cabbages, potatoes, carrots, etc, into the crowd. This food is also good luck. Take some home, cook it into a stew, and eat it. You will never go hungry all year if you do this.

It's next Saturday on the 17th, I know this coz family was meant to come down to visit, but I've told them I will be inebriated after donating ALL my money to a worthwhile cause - the brave workers of the Guinness factory!

I don't know what day it falls on, but it's always gonna be on March 17th. It's not one of those holidays that could fall on different dates, such as Easter. Easter can either be in March or April. This year, I think it's on April 8th.
