There is a difference between just killing general civilians in public places and the the calculated assassination of civilian government officials or civilian leaders of militias or armed non-military groups.

Someone who wears a bomb into a crowded market is simply a murderer. The same for someone blowing up a car bomb as people come out of the mosque. That is terrorism.

When the person leading the group planting the bombs is targeted it is not terrorism, but self-defense. It is not terrorism if the target of an air strike is the group planting the bombs. It is sad that these groups try to stay close to innocent civilians who may also be killed.

If Hamas, Fatah, Hezbollah, Al-Queda and such attacked only the Israeli Government, military and civilian, they would not be thought of as badly..

Whatever your political affiliations, you have to recognise that this is something that has happened throughout history. One person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter. By many, then, the Israeli attacks are considered terrorist. By many more others they are considered legitimate defence

Nelson Mandela was a terrorist too - or were his actions legitimate protest against an opressive regime?

Violence is violence whichever way you look at it. The term is really just a case of whose actions you consider the more justified.

There are many, many reasons why the West tends to side with Israel (I'm not saying this is necesarrily illegitimate, but I do think there's a certain amount of holocaust guilt involved), but the term "terrorist" always evolves out of an opposing standpoint.

The Jews get away with it as we/the people are made to belive it is self defence, when infact its the other way round!,The teribble things that have gone on in gazza for instance. My sis was over there a few ys back an bought back pics of peoples houses that had just been bulldosed in the middle of the night,an these r houses with familys an large one,s.They r not allowed to pray to there own god in some parts,an if caught doing so can end up dead, why should they just ecsept the scraps they have been thrown an ecsept this behaviour,an when they do reatliate THEY are called terroists,an ya they do strap bombs to themselfs an civillans get hurt or killed, but how many deaths an casulties are there on the other side, when great big bombs are blasted into there home land, how many inocent people are killed then by the isralies an the other side do not have the rescorces or wepons to fight back,so because the way they do fight back an defend themselfs they are then made to look like they are in the wrong, also it is in bushes better interest if it always looks like its the palastinians causeing the trouble an not the isralies,as he is well in with them an it comes down to money, oil an power, also who controlls what the public see on tv,its the jews who controll a huge part of the media in uk,not shore about america? In all wars there are going to be civillian casulties, but its obvious to me who is getting the raw deal here, an who has the upper hand. With all this in mind it answers a small part to me why, when acts of terroisom are comitited by Zions that it is not classed as terroisim,an the other way round it is,Its also what they want the every day person to belive so the israllies an bush can get away with the opression of these people!,who not so long ago, were not aloud out of there country an nobody in,as i no somone who was stuck there, wich then began to offect there business,as no inport or export an who was incontroll of this terible crime.I dont agree with war an there are wrongs an rights on both sides, but as the big picture goes here, this is no fair war,One little bit!

Is it only assassination when zionists kill civilians or would you in your self important doctor titled name consider the killings of black africans, by arab muslims, terrorist acts. we can go on and on blaming religion for the fact that revenge is human nature. And unless you get specific about which civilian you are most interested in we cant generalise. If for instance a muslim state kills civillians in a crackdown would you be so brave as to critscise in the press what happened using your dr name.

They are, Rabin got wacked by a terrorist, a Jewish terrorist. It's just Hezbollah killing Hariri and Gemyal's kid are fresher in the minds of the general public. Islam, justly or unjustly has been used as a smoke screen for murder on a massive scale. Any hope of regaining Palestine for the people who were shoved aside ended with Sri Han Sri Han killing Bobby Kennedy. The forty plus years between that murder and 9/11 when Arabs and Jews hated and killed each other were all but irrelevant to most American's. As sad and immoral as it is, we are simple and selfish, the non-Semetic population of American does't care all that much about Arab/Jew violence.

We do however care about America, and 9/11 just or unjust capatulted us into a war. Bush may have lied about everything he ever said to the public since he became President, but the statement "you are either with us or aganinst us" was true. Republicans & Democrats, liberals and conservatives, rich and poor all know that "cutting and running" isn't going to end this war. We really have no clear idea of what "victory" in the Middle East is, but almost all the almost 300,000,000 American's understand this: If there must be radioactive mushroom clouds over glowing holes where major cities once stood, we pefer those nuked cities be Terhan or Moscow, instead of Washington and New York.

If Iran heats up with a conventional military confrontation, it will go nuclear inside of a year, then God only knows what the couple dozen Chinese and Hindu's left will do with the radio active waste land we turned their world into. You won't have to worry about the Jews & Arabs or the Americans and the EU, Putin's 10,000 nukes will be gone and Iran will get it's wish. It will get nuclear weapons.....for a few seconds, then radical Islam will lose it's biggest supporter and get it's greatest wish all on the same horrific day.

Justice is no longer an issue, survial is, and all of us are at risk, there is no place to hide. The elitist pigs who manipulate world finance cannot hide in Iceland or South Africa, or Europe or where ever they think it's safe any more than the poor they exploit can hide. No where on the planet will be safe when this war escalates. Putin and China understand this, hence the saber rattling and public weapons tests. I am just a man, but my eyes are open and not blinded by the bigotry and hatred of most.

I hope for the best. If you pray, continue, if you don't now might be a good time to start.

It depends where your view point stands Politically. It is said "one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter'' If you ask a Muslim that question, you will probably get a response of something like ' Zionist's are murderers etc...' and if you ask a Zionist that, they will probably say something like " we are allowed to protect our land and our faith"
Personally, I can't see any body's GOD wishing one person to hurt another for any reason. That is just the bad side of human nature showing up under the pretext of racism or religion. This is probably more commonly known as IGNORANCE.

.In the eyes of the rest of the World these Freedom fighters , Terrorists or Innocent Civilians ( depending where your support lies ) were still murdered !
Israel does what it does and no-one can stop them, they always have and always will do what they believe is right, damn what the rest of the world tells them to do.
The UN should impose sanctions on Israel to bring this conflict to an end once and for all - If the UN fail to act then the UN must be disbanded as to many innocent civilians are being killed.
IF THE WHOLE MIDDLE EASTERN PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED THEN THERE WILL BE PEACE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

Your thesis is absurd and probably based on confusion in your mind.

The Zionists are the victims of Muslim terror, for the simple reason that they maintain a Jewish state, and the Arabs cannot bring themselves to live with this fact.

Israel is the only Jewish state in the whole world. The Arabs have 22 states. The Arabs are not willing to accept a Jewish state in their midst.

Israel thought that by leaving Gaza entirely in August 2005, that the Arabs would get their act together and develop their economy. Instead, the Arabs have seen fit to launch thousands of missiles at Israel's civilian population, intending to kill as many citizens as possible.

Israel, on the other hand, is trying to live in peace. When they do attack, it is with the clear objective of silencing the Arab terrorists. By international law, Israel is totally justified in its quest to protect its citizens. The Arabs are in total violation of international law by unprovoked attacking of innocent civilians in Israel.

The Palestinian Arabs could have had a state already, if they only behaved like civilized human beings. But they have proven time and again that they are not ready to behave, and so the Arabs will have to exist with "only" 22 states.

No one is above terrorist acts. Yes the Jewish people of Isreal are accountable, but the fact is that they justify the killings because they are powerful. Do you think that if the U.S. killed civilians in a terrorist fashion that it would be brought up on charges? No because they would justify it by giving excuses. Same goes for Isreal.

I feel that the problem in the Middle East is not so much the fighting between Israel and Palestine but who supports the Israelis.

Just imagine that you are home in the evening in the home that you have lovingly cared for and paid for over the years, with your family and all of a sudden, someone breaks down your door and demands that you leave your home, because it is now their home. Imagine that they tell you that if you refuse they will kill you.

How do you feel?

Well, that is exactly what happened to the Palestinians more than 50 years ago. The Jews had no Nation and they decided that according to the Torah, they were entitled to that small piece of land that is now know as Israel. In addition to which, any Palestinians who were living there would simply have to move out because it was their land. I am by no means anti-semitic nor for that matter do I support terrorism in any form. My problem here is that, where Saddam Hussein, marched into Quwait in the 90's and said that Quwait was a part of Iraq and the western world united against him, Israelis march in into Palestine and claim some of it for themselves, no-one dared to go against them, except the people they dispossed. In fact, the opposite occurred. The western world of the 1950's was feeling so guilty about the atrocities of WWII that they dared not gainsay, the Jews in their claiming of the land. This has led to the unfortunate situation we now hoave in the Middle East and what is more, we continue this situation by backing the Israeli government over their plans for Nanoweapons.

This is so wrong. Neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians need us to back them up. The Palestinians are the ones dispossed but it seems that due to the event of 1939-1945, not one western political leader is willing to make demands upon the Israelis.

They are so afraid that the wealth, which the Israelis worked hard for and I wish we all had some of their thrifty skills, would be removed from the world's funds. Outside of Israel, most of this money is held in the US, which is one reason why the US will not move against the Israelis.

Just remember how you would feel if someone dispossed you.
