The only way it will hurt baby is if this is something new you've added to your daily routine. Say...if you were consistantly working out throughout your pregnancy, then you're okay. I wouldn't 'all of a sudden' add a workout regimen (even as little as toe touches) to your daily activities.

On the positive end, doing an action like that or some elephant walking will help get baby in position. Tends to bring baby head down and keeps baby from being breech.

At 38 weeks we are ALL counting down to that delivery date. There is no guarantee that any form of exercise will MAKE baby come. Just hang in there sister!!! Not to much longer now -- you've come so far, don't give up!!!! :)

That cant be good for the baby because you are cutting off air to him... You should try walking ALOT or ask your doctor if he/she does a thinning of the cervix, or try riding an exercise bike.... I know what you mean I have a 3 month old and I was miserable with pre-eclampsia and I was on bed rest... Try going to the malls and walmarts and getting all the stuff you need before you have the baby... like the little odds and ends!!

Toe touches are certainly not going to hurt anything, but i don't think it's going to help you deliver any sooner either. I am sorry you are miserable, but try and relish the last few weeks of your pregnancy. Try to concentrate on the positive, and save your strength for labor and delivery!

its natures way of making you so miserable that you don't care how the baby gets out. There is nothing you can do. Just get as much rest as possible and eat healthy. Walking is great exercise just don't get too tired. Good Luck it will soon all be over and you'll have a beautiful baby.

I did squats, and held the position for a bout a minute each time. Killed my leg, but I went into labor 48 hours after starting the squats.
