It depends on the state - some have term limits, most don't.

You are aware, aren't you, that there are 50 states and each state is entitled to have different laws?

Some states have term limits on their state legislatures and some don't. Tell us which state you are asking about and then we can give you an answer.

I believe it would depend upon what state you're in. They don't have a term limit here in Texas.

In Pennsylvania, you're in as long as you want, unless you p### the voters, then they will limit your term to the one you are currently serving.
