I heard that Mike, Sammy, and Dave have all verified that they will be there...but now the VH brothers are saying they won't go! It's customary for inductees to jam, so...

Who do you think they should get to replace the bums for the ceremony?

I say Steve Vai on guitar (he 'replaced' Eddie once before in Dave's post-VH band) and Tommy Lee on drums (no real reason...just because they were both big-time '80's drummers!)

What do you think? Do you even care?

Sammy and Mike have said that they WOULD play with Van Halen for the induction...that they are proud of what they made together no matter what they think of Ed and Alex right now...

I care big time! I'm sad that the band can't get beyond themselves and play together at the Hall. I've been a long time fan of theirs and have seen them play in concert 5X with Sammy. I would have LOVED to see them with David Lee Roth too.

Now, it appears that Eddie will be in rehab which is a good thing. Too bad he didn't clean up his act years ago - probably before his wife left him. I will always love him and I'm so glad he chose to finally get help.

It is so sad to see the whole VH legacy end like this.

dude! Eddie is Eddie there is only one Eddie! don't get me wrong I've heard a million versions of other people playing VH songs, some were better and some were worse .you can replace the man but you can never replace the Tone that Eddie produces. Charlie Brown Sound Forever! Oh by the way Steve Vai replaced Yngwie Malmsteen on Alcatrazz and it never sounded the same, but as far as replacing Eddie he didn't. The David Lee Roth Band was more of a supergroup if anything. They didn't go around playing VH covers.Van Halen didn't become Van Vai or Van Lee Roth now did it? Always remember Eddie didn't get kicked out of the band
David Lee was kicked out . .Last but not least I love Steve Vai but Eddie he is not. They can pick whatever band to play but it's still not the same without the Van Halen Brothers.

All have verified they will attend, but will not perform. Velvet Revovler will play instead. I really think most of the former members would rather not associate, let alone play, with them after the way the VH brothers treated them.
