Yes. There are lots of things that could be wrong, and I don't know of any Dr who would just give you a script not having examined you. Its not painfull, let the Dr help you.

Yes. The doctors have to know if her hormone levels are normal . If she is having irregular cycles she definatly needs to have an exam. Unless she has just started her periods and if that is the case it can take from 6 months to 1 year to regulate.

I think is right we go on exams to check which birth control or pill fits better for us, but I don't think its right we be obligated to keep ours appointments just to keep our refills, after we have used a pill for years and everything is OK. In my home country, people don't have to keep prescriptions refills for birth's control pills. They only have to show their ID's to get their refills.

Yes, yes you do. They dont prescribe BC to women who might be pregnant, or to women who might have problems with menstral regularity "just because". They have to rule out other various issues before they will write a script

yes...i do not think a doctor would risk his license or push his med mal on this one....
what if you smoked and developed blood clots in your lungs and died
what if you had an undetected case of breast cancer and the ocp's caused it to spread and you died
