is your friend a doctor? if it was that crucial then i'd assume your doctor would tell you to. if nothing else, just call him/her up and ask

I bled during my last pregnancy due to "fibroid tumors". Fibroid tumors are fatty tissue that grows inside of your uterus. Once pregnant, the tumors grow as the baby grows & causes pain & bleeding. I was scared to death of losing the baby. My doctor did put me on bed rest in my 1st trimester, but if your doctor didn't, then I would just take it easy. I know what it's like to be afraid of harming your baby, but I will say to you what someone told me, "Babies are resiliant"... It takes a lot of stress & strain for something to go wrong. Just take it easy a bit, but don't stop your life unless doctors orders.

Welll they say that it is normal to bleed in the first trimester, which it is for some ppl i guess, but with me i did bleed in the first and second off and on, they said it was normal to me as well! but then i did go into preterm labor!~But its different with everyone!.Im not saying its going to happen to you...If you feel that something isnt right then Talk to your doctor!...Ask how much blood is normal and just tell him what exactly's bothering you!..But like i said, you can bleed during the first trimester! which is considerd normal, anything after monitor very well! even in the first!
and Your friend just wants the best for you! :)...I wouldnt do complete bedrest unless you feel something isnt right!...Just rest a little more then usual!..until you thik everything is fine!

If your doctor didn't tell you to stay in bed, then you don't need to. If you are concerned, call his/her office and talk to a nurse. Chances are, the bed rest won't change anything and since it has stopped that is a great sign that everything is fine!

It is not necessary to be in complete bed rest. Get some exercise everyday, but rest whenever you can.
