If yes, or maybe, would it matter if they were pre or post op?

Well, I'm bisexual, so I guess my answer doesn't really count, but I would absolutely date a transman, pre-op or post-op.

I tend to frequent a lot of lesbian sites, and I note that in the butch-femme and butch-butch online community, at least, they are very open and accepting of transmen, as both friends and lovers. A lot of butches identify as TG anyways, and their girlfriends are okay with it. I think that for a lot of lesbians who do date FtM's, they see them not so much as men as they see them as transmen- that is, something different from a biological, patriarchally-crafted man. That's not diluting their masculinity or maleness, but just saying that dating a transman isn't the same as dating a bio man; they have shared experiences of womanhood, and they are queer, to boot. It's interesting to see tried-and-true lesbians go crazy over Buck Angel- a guy who, from the waist-up, is nothing but manly man. Would their reaction be different if he were post-op? I'm not sure, but given the low rate of bottom surgery among transmen anyways, and particularly the big kahuna of bottom surgeries, the truly transformative phalloplasty, I think that lesbian women can respect the maleness of their trans partner's genitals while still enjoying some of the pre-op similarities.

I don't know if that made any sense, but I hope it helped.

If I was single, I might consider it. Pre or post wouldn't matter. It would all depend on if I liked the person's personality or not. I find the whole idea of FTM very interesting.

Lesbian woman here and I'd say most likely no. He'd have to be pretty dern feminine to stir our interests. And never ever ever pre op as, COME ON, talk about trying to trick someone into bed with you! How lame can you get?

I'm not gay, but lesbians are into women. When a transsexual is a man, they're pretty much out of the dating pool.

I'm bisexual so this would be possible for me. My lesbian friend says no. She says that would be the same to her as being with a man which is something she can't fathom.

No. I'd date a MTF though.
