File a grievance with both the school board and the state board of education.
State your reasons why you think your son has been discriminated against.
(It might be wise to contact a civil rights org. to see if they can help with a pro bono lawyer or aid.)

First know your's and your son's rights. Do some research on this. I did I contacted my state's Board of Education and printed out the students rights and the state's provisions for education.Go to the principal first and file a complaint, if this doesn't work go to the school board and file a complaint. Then continue down the line:
State Representative
Your state's Department of Education
That is what I did and I am fighting now for my daughter's education. She is also a child with disabilities.

You can do all that however depending on where you live it may not get you any where! That is why I home school my son despite what I did the school system sticks together. No one would help. But just make sure you keep a paper trail. Send letters in the mail certified so you have proof of who got it. When talking on the phone keep a note pad and write down the persons name & time of call. Good luck.

First of all who descriminated and how did they do it? It is very difficult to give a good answer not knowing the details but here is a good progression. If it is the teacher, talk to the teacher first, then if that doesn't work, go to the guidance counselors, if you are still not satisfied, talk to the principal and last to the school board. It is always best to try to fix the problem at a local level before blowing it out of proportion directly to a school board. Good luck and I hope you get it resolved.

Try going to the principle and if that doesn't work go above him to your state education department. Remember that if you don't stick for your son no one else will. Stand firm and insist on something being done about the issue you have.Put everything in writing and keep copies of what you send and if you have phone calls take a note of date, time and the name of who you talk to.
