my husband and i are thinking about moving to nebraska and we were wondering if there are any oil field jobs there. we currently live in texas where oil field jobs are a dime a dozen. my husband has worked in oil field most of his life and that is all he knows. does anyone know if there are any oil field jobs anywhere in nebraska? we have never been to nebraska so please dont laugh at this question.

You aren't going to find oil fields... just corn fields. :) There are a lot of new ethanol plants being built. Maybe this would be a close fit for him.

I have driven the entire length of the state more than once--I see cattle, corn, pumpkins and waste land. You can also plan on ducking from tornadoes and blistering heat. You should be used to that from the Texas living. Go to 50states.com and check out the state there to see what the perks are. Or look at Wyoming, lots of oil wells there. I just looked -- no mention of oil.
