This globabl warming issue has not been proven to be accurate and the people that are pushing the issue consume more energy by far than you and I. If it is real lets get with the program and fix it. We all need to find alternative forms of energy especially so we are not held captive to foreign oil. I have heard that this globabl warming issue is not so much man made as just from the sun itself. The junk science needs to be thrown out. 25 years ago, they were talking about a new ice age. 25 years from now maybe we will be talking about a new ice age again.

Because you DON'T want to wait around for the effects of Global Warming to come to YOU! Think of it like THIS; for years & years- scientists warned that New Orleans was GOING to be devistated by a major hurricane if that city didn't DO something to better protect its people & property. -Nothing was done- "and the band played on..." We know what happend next (And if the "Big Easy" is hit again any time in the next 5 years- there isn't going to be anything LEFT to hold a Mardi Gras in.). The effects of global warming WILL BE much worse, because millions if not BILLIONS of people will be seriously affected- & those affects will only increase until we are either wiped out- or we DO SOMETHING about them! So you see, for all the problems in the world now- you "aint seen nothing yet..." -if we don't get a handle on Global Warming soon...

People put global warming at the top of the list often because it is something that is supposed to cause permanent damage on ALL of mankind, rather than just some. While Poverty and AIDS is important to pay attention to because of the risk it puts on so many lives each day, people are looking at the possible *end* of the world as we know it.

Global warming is something that everyone can help to resolve. Wars, poverty and AIDS in africa is pretty much left up to governments to resolve

Because global warming is changing our world to day, places which are hot gets hotter, places which are cold got freeze up and places which are cold gets warmer certainly bigger issues than AIDS or WAR. it affects the whole human population.

If global warming progresses to the projected state that it will be in 50 years there will be major breakdown of the ecoshphere, crops will fail bringing worldwide famine accompanied by massive wildfires and superstorms killing milions, its not a small issue and it affects the world, not just a few places. there will be worldwide starvation rather than starvation in just a few places. We all stand to lose if this isssue is not dealt with immediately.

It could possibly be that global warming scares people more because it affects the whole world. In any case, I don't know why politicians make such a big deal out of it if survival of the fittest is taught in schools.

For some reason people would rather worry about something that there is probably no chance of them being able to change, its easier.
