You dont have to put all of them. Just put the jobs that worked before that is closely assosiated with the job you are going to apply for. If you are apply to be a programmer you dont have to put your mc donalds hrs in it if you worked there and you have other better employers.

It is best to list the employers that you were at for the longest periods of time and had the best relationship with. Also, be sure to list any that even remotely had anything to do with the kind of job you will be applying for and be sure to highlight those similarities in the job description on your resume. Be aware though that you may be asked by the interviewer to explain any gaps in your employment history. If you leave off an employer that you worked at for a couple years because you didn't get along with the manager, you may be asked what you did during that period. Either have a good lie ready or explain why you left the job off.

It is something I would not reccomend. At my work place, We have fired people for leaving things out. There is a data base that employers can assess for a small fee. If you leave smoething off of your resume, there is potential that it may come up and you look dishonest before you even start. Not good. My suggestion is to be honest about your past work history and answer all questions that they may have for you. (Never bad mouth a former employer~be politically correct when explaining why it didnt work out)

No, you do not have to list all of your previous employers on your resume. that being said, if a company is paranoid, they will probably do a credit check on their new employees. If you filled out a W4 for your old jobs, your previous work experience will be on your credit report. Good references are generally all you need...but potential employers hate big gaps in resumes....

You don't have to list all of your employers--for some people, that would be a 10-page resume!
It is wise to leave in the ones where you acquired experience that is relevant to the job you are applying for, or related transferable skills.

Most employers would not be able to check your records. You can research different styles of resumes. If you are doing a chronological resume, I think they expect to go back 15 years. If you have way too many jobs or embarrassing gaps in time, do one of the other styles that highlights your skills.

They can't check tax records. You can leave out a job if it was not a positive experience but have something prepared to say why you wern't working then. A good line for a female is that you needed to stay home with the kids for awhile. Maybe you took a college course or something plausible.

I would suggest listing where you have worked for the last 10 years. List only substantial jobs of great significance. Employers do not pull tax records to verify where you were previously employed. They will however do a criminal background check.

You don't have to list ALL of the employers, infact in most cases the least amount the better. Because that means that you have been at those places longer because you were a good employee.
