I have some farm equipment I need to get rid of. It just doesn't work anymore (actually it never really worked well in the first place). I've tried fixing it myself but it's no use. Should I throw it away? Do you think I can send it back to the manufacturer overseas?

Whoops, I forgot to say what kind of equipment I'm talking about. It's a TOBY Model cotton picker (I know, very old fashioned) that I got for a good price secondhand. It just refuses to work and I don't know what to do about it.

Here's a picture.

Contact whom ever you paid the hard earned money to & explain: It is defective, it won't work, you need to do a total recall, & do not ship inferior products again. Make it clear to them that this equipment is not up to your standards. If they will not take it back, dispose of it.

It seems obvious to me that you're using a very crude metaphor in an attempt to further keep the black man down. It's a well known fact that Africans are naturally hard working, intelligent people, but that evil whites have brought about their degradation. In 1825, the average Black Man could perform approximately 36% more work than the average white man, while exerting 15% less effort. But in 1835, the evil proto-geneticist Maxwell Thompson crossed the African tsetse fly with the north american housefly, creating a breed that could burrow under human skin and feed on blood. The flies would not touch whites, as their skin was far to frail to offer adequate protection from the elements. But the Black Man has been beset by this curse ever since, and it affects his ability to earn a living. The white man caused this terrible affliction, and he owes us help because of it, unless a cure is found. A white man cannot imagine the agony we live in, and hence the need to anesthetize ourselves by various means.

You will probably have to pay for shipping it back to the manufacturer, particularly if it is overseas. You could post your item on Craigslist.org/your area and see if there is any interest out there for your equipment. Maybe someone is a tinkerer and would like it to repair or for parts -- you could sell it and recoup some of the cost. Or, you could try to donate it. Maybe the kids at your local high school could use a shop project. I'd start with posting it for sale on a site like Craigslist or eBay. I'd probably consider sending it back to the manufacturer as a last resort option (because freight can be very expensive). Maybe an artist will see your equipment for sale and turn it into an art piece! Good luck!

Before you decide to dispose of your equipment, consider using better motivational techniques:

Spruce up that bullwhip with a couple shards of razorblade. Try alternating lashings with some positive reinforcement, like watermelon wedges or pieces of fresh sugar cane. Have a buddy help out. The 'good massa/bad massa' routine can do wonders for discipline.

not one of the above. you are able to pass them if the middle line isn't solid and there is not any oncoming site visitors, except in a no passing zone. also, if stated vehicle is vacationing on the speed decrease, take the hint and do not pass. sure, persistence is area of it yet no longer the completed answer. If beating of the equipment doesn't work; donate it to science.
