Don't decorate your face with things that aren't intended for your skin.
Like soap, some things are OK on your skin, but not in your eyes. Some face paint or other makeup may say on the label that it is not for use near the eyes. Believe this, even if the label has a picture of people wearing it near their eyes. Be careful to keep makeup from getting into your eyes.
Even products intended for use near your eyes can sometimes irritate your skin if you use too much.
If you're decorating your skin with something you've never used before, you might try a dab of it on your arm for a couple of days to check for an allergic reaction BEFORE you put it on your face. This is an especially smart thing to do if you tend to have allergies.

I'm 50. Ive worn eye liner since I was 18. It didn't harm the skin around my eyes at all. However I don't pull on the skin to put it on either. The biggest cause of wrinkles is the sun!!! And the majority of damage is caused before we are 20. I wear sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat in the sun.

no. the skin isn't stained by makeup if that is what you mean. the skin around the eye area is very delicate. a lot of pulling or roughness will cause wrinkles. undereye concealer should be dotted on with the ring finger (this is the most gentle finger to use). when applying eyeline, be as gentle as possible; use varieties that glide on smoothly. as for foundation, it can actually keep the skin moisturized, which in turn would keep it healthier. however, foundation may accentuate wrinkles by creasing. it doesn't make them worse, it just may make them look worse. this can be avoided by using a pretreatment.

I'm pretty sure wearing tons of make up every day for a very long time really destroys the natural beauty of your face. It'll seem like you're aging much too quickly if you decide not to wear it. I've only been wearing make up for three years and now I dont like taking it off because I hate how I look without the stuff so definitely cut back on it.

wrinkles can be genetic- stress related- if a person smokes- our water intake- more so than what u mentioned. however, any tugging or pulling of the skin over time will probably cause some loose skin and a chance for wrinkles- lets face it- we will all have them sooner or later- but thank the good lord for the technology we have today to do something about it. :)

your eyes can start to get an allergic reaction, so you won't be able to wear any kind of make-up around your eyes, so make sure to wash it off, and treat ur eyes, and don't wear it every day. For foundation, make sure you wash it off every night, and when you put it on, don't rub your skin, it'll stretch your skin so you could get wrinkles, but most likely not. wrinkles mostly deals with smokers, and genetics.

I believe make-up actually helps your skin as it is basically cream. Now they have all kinds of medications also which is in the make-up to preserve it, which again helps your skin retain moisture. My mother has worn eyeliner since she was 14, and that was 30 years ago, and she looks as great as ever, so I don't think there is any damage to wearing make-up or eyeliner. Love you! Jen.
