I'm currently trying to write an illustration paper for my composition class, and, well, I'm having trouble coming up with topics. Could anybody give me some ideas? Thanks.

Good illustration essay starts with a carefully chosen and well-researched topic. The first thing to remember is to pick a topic that you can handle. This means that you need to limit your topic span to whatever page limit you have for your essay. As you know, the typical research paper or essay requires that the topic should be fully covered in the body of the essay. Keeping this in mind, you would probably want to pick something concrete or factual.
Another requirement for the illustration essay topics is the reader's interest. Your audience needs to be entertained by the topic choice as well as the overall presentation of the subject matter.
One of the criteria for interest is the relevance and timing of the issue in question. Below we have selected essay topics that are current, meaningful to your peers, and narrow enough to be wrapped up in a typical college paper. You can choose any of these topics for your illustration essay, read the article and start writing your paper.

How about digital art vs. traditional illustration. As a graphic designer, I know that with a computer i can do things 100x faster than i ever did just using pen and paper. But sometimes i think that computer graphics are just overused, and at the expense of the artists ability. I know many people who can do digital art, but can't draw a stick man on paper without getting the parts in the wrong place.

Um... is this a paper that illustrates a point with an allegory or something similar??

If so, some ideas might be:
The older a person gets, the faster time goes by.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

You make your own luck in this life.

??? Guess that's about it for me. I hope this helps get you going on it.
