Not a chance.
The Wii has already outsold the PS3 in every venue. Go to a Walmart, GameStop or really any video game store. You can walk in and buy a PS3 right off the shelf because people arent buying them and those that did, are returning them. The PS3 has a very good chance of taking Sony out of the gaming console world. They already loose close to four hundred dollars a system just to sell them. Couple this with the small number of systems sold and I see another dreamcast in the makings.
The other big problem for the PS3 is that you can basically get the same graphics on the Xbox 360. Oh sure you get better graphics if you have the RIGHT HD tv but the better graphics from the PS3 dont even work with all HD tvs you have to have the right one. Then take the fact that for the same price as you can get a PS3 you can get both a 360 and a Wii I think you have the coup de grace. I think in the next few years you will see third party developers leave sony like crazy. If any system is going down during this generation it is the PS3.

The 360 is not leading the market. The Wii is leading the market. Just look at the number of units sold in the same amount of time. The 360 might have sold more units than the Wii, but then again, it has a 1 year lead on the PS3 and Wii.

It's kind of hard to say whether or not the PS3 is going to take Wii out of the market because the PS3 and Wii have different target audience. The PS3 is aimed towards the 18 to 35 year old gamer, while the Wii is aimed towards the casual gamer of any age. The Wii doesn't really have any competitors while the PS3 has to contend with the 360 because MS and Sony are both aiming for the same target audience.

For now, everything is looking rosy for the Wii because it has a very nice selection of launch games, namely Zelda. It's also getting the casual gamers interested in the Wii. The price is ideal for the casual gamer or people who don't want to spend a lot of money on a console.

If Nintendo continues to deliver with good 3rd party games, then it should be fine, but if the Wii has to rely on 1st party games, then it might be doomed.

dude six axis controls... umm that's lame capability. that's a step below what the Wii controllers can do and graphics aren't anything if the games suck ***. would you buy a game that's a turd if it look better over a game that is great, but has subpar graphics (if you can even call wii graphics subpar, which they aren't).
the fact is that the ps3 is an overblown, over priced piece of crap that unless you think more expensive is better, you should know that the Wii can blow the ps3 and even the x-box 360 out of the water. the thing that the x-box 360 has better is it's online gaming since it is a year older than the wii so it have gotten rid of its bugs and defects... the ps3 doesn't have anything worth its price... so no. the popularity of the ps3 is all in the name, not in what it can actually do. people have already realized it.

Nintendo will always be alive. Also you are correct partially, the wii might not have next gen grahics but it has everything else. Look at it this way, the Wii has everything to Ps3 doesnt and vise-versa. Examples: wii low price , ps3 high price- wii good for all ages, ps3 maybe 16 and up- wii more community media, ps3 more personal media.

P.S. i bet you dislike xbox products. Im with you, the only reason i would get a xbox 360 would be for halo, and maybe if i had money gears of war but thats it.

Happy Gaming!!!!!!

At some point of time , may be , because of the low price of the Wii , many people would want to get it , cause its something new for experience . Many people already have like PS1 , PS2 , PS2 Slim keeping at home , may be still figuring what to do with them if they buy PS3 . The Wii give player a new experience . It won't be taken out so easily by Sony .

The Xbox 360 is easily leading the market. The Wii appeals to a much larger audience than either console and has outsold the PS3 vastly. However, the new Home feature of the PS3 may take the Wii and Xbox 360 down a notch. Other than this, the PS3 has been doing horribly and has been very dissapointing.

I think it won't. I really like my PS3, but a lot of people like the Wii. Besides even if it DID Nintendo makes plenty of money from Gcube, Gameboy, Gamboy Advance SP, and Nintendo DS. They just made the wii to keep up the competition.
