i just bought a dell latitude laptop and received a floppy drive with it (need it for my Sony Mavica FD-95)...anyway, when i took out the cd drive and put in the floppy it said "no drivers found"..... :( bummer. can anyone help? thanks.

DELL WEBSITE ONLY has a japanese driver for windows 2000 (i have XP) and it says it will not run on english versions......???any other ideas? :)

I'm not sure how you would fix this exactly, but my solution would be to go over to circuit city or best buy and get an external floppy drive. They aren't that expensive, and they connect to your laptop using a USB cord.

Try this: Right click on "My Computer", and then click on "Properties". From the resulting window, click on the "Hardware" tab, and then click on the "Device Manager" tab. Scroll down and find the entry for the floppy drive. Right click on it, and choose "Uninstall". Once that's done, exit from there and then reboot the pc. Windows should see the floppy drive as "new hardware" and reinstall the driver for it. Now try the floppy drive. Hope this helps.

Go to Dell's site and enter your service tag number on their support page. It'll show a list of all drivers for your machine.

If the floppy isn't listed, use their search feature to find the right one.
