They're both PCI so it doesn't really matter. Both will be bottlenecked by the PCI bus and they will run at the same slow speed. Get whichever is cheaper.

In absolute terms, the second is a little faster. It's memory interface is only half as wide but the memory clock is a little over twice as high.

PCI and PCI exhibit are thoroughly distinctive and have actual no longer something to do with one yet another, regardless of the similarity in call. you are able to no longer use PCI exhibit taking part in cards in PCI slots, and you are able to no longer use PCI taking part in cards in PCI exhibit slots. they're completely incompatible, and the taking part in cards won't even slot interior the slots. PCI is an quite old bus standard progressed back interior the early '90s, with a pass velocity of in trouble-free terms 33mHz. That replaced into back interior the days while CPUs like the 486 quite broke 100mHz. PCI exhibit is plenty greater moderen, with a pass velocity of a minimum of a million.5gHz (PCIe a million.0 spec). plenty quicker, greater desirable for use with immediately's quickly structures. if your laptop would not have PCI exhibit, you ought to evaluate upgrading to a clean device.

Actually, that Diamond card is WAY better. It's got a 128 bit memory interface, along with a memory clock speed of 250 Mhz, which is 500 Mhz DDR. So, it's memory path is twice as wide, and it's memory speed is only 16 Mhz slower. That means it will perform nearly twice as well as the Visiontek. BTW, if you need a PCI card for games, get one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Category=38&N=2010380048+1069609642+106790809&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=48

Get the second one. The clock speed is higher and you'll notice the difference in performance if you play games or use software that require a lot of graphics memory.
