Well I'm guessing that it is cheaper to make it here in the USA for the purpose of keeping import cost down. Have you ever considered trying the oil based Chanel perfume? It's wonderful and it last much longer. You should try it. Its only $13.50 per roll on bottle. It may not be the fancy packaging but it definitely carries the same fragrance punch except without the alcohol and water!

do not question why something previously manufactured in another country is now manufactured in USA--Just be glad it is not the other way around. We are losing too much industry as it is.
The reasons most manufactures look to other countries is because it is more cost effective, so it was probably cheaper to make Chanel in the US instead of France.

It was a decision that they made at the home office. Then word went out and the moved everything to the US.
