All the colleges I'm looking at going to are around or a little more than $30,000 per year, and then there's also the cost of living. My family is definitly not poor, but we can't pay that or really even help pay for it because, 1) we're in a lot of credit card debt because my mom spent us into oblivion, and 2) my parents never really started saving for my education. I don't know a lot of details, but we have 5 kids, a lot of debt, an annual income of around $123,000 and we live in Oregon. I know this probably doesn't help much, but if anybody out there knows anything about college aid, it would be helpful!! It just sucks because I know my family makes more than a lot than other families, but because of our debt and lack of savings, I'll be more than $175,000 in debt by the time I graduate...

Don't go in debt for education, this is just not the right way.
The most important is the motivation to do well in college.Since you have the initiative, education can really help you in family, career and in life. I think you need financial aid,try contacting colleges and universities for scholarships first. The admmissions officers in good institutions are always there to help you to secure good grades to get a scholarship, etc.Be positive, life is wonderful, and we can achieve a lot!

you need to get a job, in case you have one then super yet my kin makes under $30,000 a 365 days, thats my dad, mom and me blended! suck it up, in case you pick to pass to an high priced college and pick a sturdy training you are going to be keen to pay your dues. And so some distance as i be attentive to any help you get would be inner maximum and based on your vonteer artwork and intense academic achivement because of the fact FAFSA, government help, is pick based and it sux for you yet they do no longer care that your mom can no longer take care of money, in case you pick to pass to college you will stumble on a manner with loans and so on... sorry :-(

You'll fill out the FAFSA and the answers on that determine your need. Most likely they will say that you have no need because it is mostly based on income. You will still be eligible for federal loans at least though.

you need to fill out the fafsa (available at fafsa.org) and a css profile on collegeboard.com.
send these to your colleges, and they'll judge you based on your family income, children, assets (like houses or stocks)
each school may give you a different financial aid package based on how rich or poor they are
