Depends the Browns only signed Lewis to a 1 year deal so they might still draft him.

Texans will definitely draft peterson if he is there at 8. There is a chance now he slips by the browns at #3, and the brown's take Brady Quinn instead which might be a better move at this point. There doesnt seem to be anyone who would take peterson between the brown's pick and houston's, but there is always a chance a team trade up when they see peterson slip a little. Buffalo at #12 if they trade mcgahee. or even green bay at #16, although they may have to give up too much to move to 6 or 7. the skins at #6 i believe only have 1 pick on the first day, so they should be looking to add more picks by trading down, the vikings could also trade down instead of reaching for a reciever at #7. Theres also an outside chance the vikings take peterson at #7, instead of reaching for a reciever like ted ginn, i not completely sold on chester taylor, honestly i think chester is better as 3rd down back and backup.

As a Ravens fan, I think the Browns would be smart drafting Peterson anyway. Jamal Lewis is probably about as good as Reuben Droughns if that and was carried by a great O-line to a mediocre performance. He used to be great (back when he ran for 500 yards in 2 games against those same Browns), but he's over the hill and done. It would be crazy to pass up a RB and pin your hopes on Jamal Lewis. Brian Billick did it last year and it cost the Ravens a Super Bowl. I knew he should have spent that 2nd rounder on LenDale.

Good question. Not sure though. A lot of teams looked at what Chicago did last year with their two backs and might be copying that this year. The Browns, having signed Lewis, might just want someone they can work slowly into things - giving Lewis a chance to get fresh legs as well.

I would think he goes to the Brownies anyways (eventhough im hoping they take that Tackle out of Wisconsin..Joe Thomas)...but they only signed Lewis to a 1 yr contract...and unless they have another dismal season and take McFadden out of Arkansas next year...theyll pry be kicking themselves...the only way i can see them passing on Peterson is if they trade down to say the Texans for David Carr...which i wouldnt mind at all...but yeah...odds are theyll take Peterson

i think this will open up the possibility of a team trading up to take peterson, like the packers perhaps...peterson is likely going to slip past fourth, since the browns are a lot less likely to take him and the bucs won't for sure because their sights are on calvin johnson

Perhaps, but the bucs have cadillac, but he isn't as good as pple thought, so he may go to them, and if he does slip past him his best bets are the the panthers, or even the packers/

I still say he goes top 10. He's too good for some of those teams to pass up.

WELL I DON'T THINK HE WILL SLIP AT ALL BECAUSE BOTH GREEN AND LEWIS ARE ALMOST 30 AND THEY ARE AT THAT AGE WHERE THEY ARE ALMOST OUT OF THEIR PRIME. BUT I THINK CLEVELAND WOULD BE CRAZY TO PASS ON HIM. PETERSON AND LEWIS WOULD BE A GREAT ONE-TWO COMBO.

Unlikely hes good damn good!!!
You can never have too many good running backs as long as the team can keep within the salary cap
