I want to buy a boat this summer (seriously) how much would it cost for docking, insurance and everything else

Also I need to know...how far could I boat? are there limits...please give me as much information as possible...Thanks!

Boating is not cheap. I was quoted 3 grand for docking over the winter last fall. I said to hell with that and she's in my garage right now. I had to take the keel off but it's detachable anyway so no worries. As for how far you can go. I really don't know if there is a legal limit or not. I do know that if you go out of protected waters, the coast guard can't help you if you get into trouble. And the open water is a bad place to be in if trouble hits.
