WOW!!! My time machine works, we've gone back to 1995. Seriously, they were crap then and are still crap now.

When Blur went to number one with the very silly "Country House" they certainly won the hype war that was going on at the time between them and Oasis. However, this nearly destroyed Blur, while Oasis seemed to prosper in the wake of all the publicity. Since then, however, Oasis have become increasingly tired, constantly retreading the same old ground, while Blur have reinvented themselves and explored new ideas. Damon's work in Mali and with Gorillaz demonstrate that he is a man with a broad mind. I was very much an Oasis man, but Blur is the far better band in the long run.

back in the battle of the Brits, i was a blur fan although im a northerner, i prefered the humour in the Blur songs and a generally more up beat in the tunes, saying that that eras oasis was classic stuff.
Takes me back a long way that does, remember discussing this in english as part of a debating assignment for my GCSE!
Both really faded, oasis new stuff doesnt really appeal as much as the mid 90s stuff, dont hear from Blur, but Damon Alburns project with Gorrillaz keeps the "humour tunes in a serious sense" going and im a fan of the gorillaz.
i suppose im still a blur fan, although i was upset that the best of missed some good tunes off - mind you that shows how good they were

oasis. blur is a blur after song 2 they bit the dust.

I agree with jackie b, gotta be Oasis , they've made some classics.What's the story is also my favourite sond.Blur are good but not on the same par as Oasis.
