A chicken hawk refers to someone who is hawkish (ie advocates going to war) but who is too chicken to actually fight one. So you have Bush who never served a day in his life dressing up like a fighter pilot and telling people that he's a war president, yet when he had an opportunity to fight in Vietnam (which he also supported), he magically got discharged in time to campaign. Or look at Mr. Dick -5 deferments- Cheney -- he also supported the Vietnam war, yet he never found himself on the battlefield. (Which is ironic because I dont think he can be killed)

Edit- Boston Mark - LOL yeah I was so glad to have someone be president who can sit in a classroom for 7 minutes looking like a moron until someone comes to take him by the hand and lead him away -- such LEADERSHIP!

Regardless of who the term being aimed at, when I hear the term chickenhawk being used, I can only assume the person using it is a boy toucher! Must have like the movie huh??
