St. Patrick's day is celebrated with parades in the cities of England which have a large Irish population living in them, like London, Liverpool and Birmingham. In London they have a week-long festival and a parade. The kids would have to travel across the sea to Ireland to chase the leprechauns and find the pots of gold.

The English and Catholic Irish have a long, ugly history so I would think they almost certainly don't. America has a different situation; lots of Catholic Irish came here and had many descendants. We're like their distant cousins. England is like their "ex-", with whom they had a horrible divorce.
